Last Week Is On Me

Let me the first person to apologize for the advice I gave last week for the Notre Dame game. I really thought it was going to go better, but to be fair I have said that I am going to lose, and boy did I. I’m not sure what the hell they were doing but as a fan let me explain a little something. Julian Love, up to be the best corner in the nation, did not play the second quarter. Well, when his backup was in, guess who they went to. Okay so here is how it played out, here is Clemson’s scoring. 1Q: 3 points (Love was playing) 2Q: 20 points (Love was not playing) 3Q: 7 points (Love was playing) 4Q: 0 points (Love was playing). Now I’m not saying he would have made all the difference but the stats don’t lie. Again that game is on me. I am sorry for your loss but here we go, New Years Bowl games

New Years Eve Games:

Cindy (-6.5) vs Virginia Tech

O/U 52.5

Cinch has a great QB with almost 2400 passing yards with 19 TD and only 5 INTS but VT has 2500 passing yards 22 TD and 8 INTs. This is a puzzling one because Cincy has the better record but VT plays in a much better conference. I believe CIncy will be able to control the clock and manage to win this game by 10. CIncy -6.5

Stanford (-4) vs Pitt

O/U 52

Both of these teams have not played well all year and considering Bryce Love was supposed to be the Heisman winner this year as the favorite and didn’t pan out, it is hard to decide who to bet on. Pitt has a good defense and an offense that relies on big plays. Pitt has been battled tested and Love is sitting out, butttttttttt Stanford found a passing attack that is hard to stop. Stanford -4

Oregon (-2) vs Michigan State

O/U 45

Oregon is such a fast paced offense that MSU has never seen before. MSU will drain the clock on Oregon making them have to score each time they get the ball. Oregons QB has announced he is coming back next season so there is no reason he wont play and I believe the Ducks will send Michigan State home with a loss. Ducks all day -2

Misouri (-9) vs OKST

O/U 71.5

OKST has covered every single game they have played in this year and I do not see a difference in this game. MIZZO has a good QB but OKST is just too damn explosive to give up 9 points. This game will be a good one to watch....OKST +9

Northwestern vs Utah (-7)

O/U 44

Both of these teams have shown what they are truly capable of this year wit NW going to the Big 10 championship to lose to Ohio State and Utah being in the rankings all year long. NW will have a chip on their shoulder due to that Ohio State loss and lets be honest, any team that warms up outside shirtless when it is 30 degrees or lower are just guys you don’t want to mess with. NW is just a bunch of football guys. NW +7

North Carolina State vs Texan A&M (-7)

O/U 56

This final game of the day is going to be stellar. NCST has had some tough losses and has been close in every game. TAMU has something to prove though. They are wanting to start this comeback to greatness like when Money Man Johnny Menziel was there. TAMU is just too explosive for this defense take TAMU -7

Tuesdays Games

MSST (-7) vs Iowa

O/U 41

Iowa has been a solid team all year and tends to do well in big games, but with key players sitting out, there is no chance. MSST -7

LSU (-7) vs UCF

O/U 57.5

How can the defending national champs be 7 point dogs going into a game like this? UCF tore apart Auburn last year to solidify themselves as champs and run this college football world. Back to back undefeated seasons and they will look to beat another SEC school to show they belong in the playoffs next year. UCF is going to have its hands full with the Tigers and Coach O. I believe the Tigers will win but I think it will be close. Knights +7

Kentucky vs Penn State (-6.5)

O/U 47

I believe this is going to be a close game with big plays to win it. Big plays will be a key to this game with Josh Allen at LB or Kentucky and Trayce at QB for Penn State. UK beat MSST earlier this year handily and this is important because the former coordinators of PSU are now there. I think PSU squeaks this one out and wins by 10 with a big play coming late.

Ohio State (-6.5) vs Washington

O/U 57.5

This game is going to be a disastor for Washington. OSU is coming off winning the Big Ten and not getting in the CFB where they feel cheated. OSU has a huge chip on their shoulder and wants the world to know it doesn’t matter who they put up against them (Besides Purdue) they are going to win the game. OSU -6.5 and the over. Hammer that over.

Texas vs Georgia (-12)

O/U 58.5

This game is going to be a points fest with both teams having great offenses. Texas was looking to win the Big 12 and head to the CFP while Georgia damn near beat Bama in the SEC title game. Overall I think Georgia wins by 7-10 coming from a late big play from Fromm but it’ll be a good game. Texas +12 and the over

Good luck the next two days, Notre Dame still belonged in the CFB, convince me otherwise

Cheers,

A sad sad Notre Dame Fan Grandpa Shoe
