Saturday’s Extravaganza

The first real Saturday in Bowl Season is finally upon us. This week has been good for just getting us by and last week of Army vs Navy is always a nice tough but this Saturday is when we get multiple games of college football back into our lives and I want to shoot this action straight into my veins because there is going to be some good football on once again on Saturdays. If you have a Christmas party this weekend with people you don’t really want to talk to or people you don’t really know, this is a sure fire way to find the people who you can actually have a conversation with, turn on the TV for a little football and see who sits and joins you, if they get upset over someone scoring odds are they are gambling too, this is your new best friends....congrats.

Game 1: Jared Birmingham Bowl

Memphis (-3) vs Wake Forest

O/U 73

This game is a wonderful way to start the weekend off right with a win. These teams have had two weeks to prepare for each other’s offense. Defense is the key in these games of teams no one really cares about. 73 points is absurd amount of points unless it is Oklahoma playing The Citadel where OU could score 73 in 3 quarters. Hammer the under, neither of these teams are that good on offense. Memphis is a well balanced team with 3100 passing yards and two rushers over the 1000 yard mark. Memphis -3 is the lock.

Game 2: Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl

Houston vs Army (-4.5)

O/U 59.5

Listen if you root againt Army at any point unless you are a Navy or Air Force fan or your favorite team is playing them, you are extremely unpatriotic. Army is actually passing the ball this season, they passed it 90 times and I bet they air raid Houston when they least expect it. Army runs a tricky offense and although Houston has time to prepare for it, you know how hard it is to run a Wishbone Triple Option offense on scout team? Virtually impossible. Houston hasn’t gotten a good look there take Army -4.5 and the under of 59.5.

Game 3: Dollar General Bowl

Buffalo (-1.5) vs Troy

O/U 49.5

Listen, if I have learned anything from gambling all season on Tuesday nights, it is to never bet against the MAC in critical situations. MACtion is real and you cannot bet against it. Buffalo has a good offense, good enough to score and a solid defense. Troy hasn’t done anything magical in the past couple years and will continue to lose to better teams. This one is easy take Buffalo -1.5 and enjoy the ride of the MAC train.

Game 4: Sofi Hawai’i Bowl

Hawaii(-1) vs Louisiana Tech

O/U 61

Okay this one is going to be a good game, a good game to finish the night. LT is 4-1 as a underdog and Hawaii is currently 1-4-1 as the favorites.....but Hawaii is playing at home, yes they are 2-2 at home this year but they only leave a couple days in advance to head to the continental US to play their games, imagine LT having to travel down there, living up life, enjoying the beaches and girls and food and then realize they have to play a game. It’s a disadvantage, LT is going to be too relaxed and won‘t see the Rainbow Warriors coming at them. It is Hawaii’s home island. It is their turn to win another game. LT just won’t have what it takes to win down there. The Warriors will say to LT “Mele. Kalikimake the hell out of here.” Hawaii -1 and the under

As of today I am 2-0 in bowl games this year and I hope you bet on them all, and if you didn’t it is time to jump on board because we are winning money on teams and games people just don’t want to watch.
