Hello everyone and welcome to the absolute greatest time of the year for college football gamblers, yes bowl season.

Now many of these games are pointless for us and they are more than likely teams we have heard nothing about and honestly could care less but if you want to scrape together some quick cash here soon, this might just be what you are looking for. I will be covering in this blog the games starting on Tuesday until Friday and an upcoming blog for Saturday’s games along with NFL and college basketball is to come.

Game 1: Tuesday December 18

The Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl

University of Alabama Birmingham (-2.5) vs Northern Illinois

Over/Under 42.5

This matchup is great, two teams that rely on their defense to get stops when they need them and just pray that they can score more points. UAB has used two QB system this year and have seen some results in recording a 10-3 record. They QB system only works for them half the time it seems with each QB having just as many TD as INT’s which isn’t good for the passing attack. The run game for UAB is their powerhouse method and they will try to pound the rock down your throat averaging 4.6 YPA.

Northern Illinois has a QB that has passed for damn near 2000 years this season with 15 TD and 10 INT. Don’t get me wrong, they will pound the rock as well. They have 4 rushers will over 500 yards combining for 14 TD this season. Their record does not show the talent they have or what they bring to the table though with a measly 8-5 record.

My pick: Give me the Dragons all day -2.5. They should run the ball down their throat and control the clock all game.

Game 2: Wednesday December 19

The DXL Frisco Bowl

San Diego State vs Ohio (-2.5)

Over/Under 54

SDSU is a pass heavy offense with contributing running ability. Their QB has thrown for 1500 yards with two rushers over the 500 yard mark. Their record shows how we all feel about this game coming in at 7-5.

Ohio is a team that is going to air the ball on you and make sure you know about it. Their QB has 2228 passing yards and three rushers over 800 yards a piece!

My pick: It’s easy, Ohio -2.5. They have 38 TD compared to the 16 of SDSU, they are 90% in the red zone and completing 60% of the throws. Ohio will get up big early the control the clock.

Game 3: Thursday December 20

Bad Boys Mower Gasparilla Bowl

Marshall (-3) vs South Florida

Over/Under 52.5

Ill keep this simple, both teams have good defenses and rely heavy on the pass, trust the defenses here take the under of 52.5. If I had to pick, take USF, they are playing in Florida, means a little more to them.

Game 4: December 20

Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl

FIU vs Toledo (-6)

Over/Under 59.5

Toledo hasn’t exactly found their QB yet and have been dabbling with two QB’s all year both over the 1000 yard mark. FIU has a powerhouse QB have 2700 passing yards with two RB over 500 yards. They are pretty evenly stacked so take FIU +6. They are playing in the Bahamas and they are used to that climate compared to the shit hole of Toledo. Also take the Under, the defenses like to get after it.

Game 5: December 20

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

WMU vs BYU (-12.5)

Over/Under 49.5

12.5 points is wayyyyyyy too much. It is bowl season, these players for WMU have nothing else to play for, they probably won’t go pro, so they might as well ball out while they can. BYU is decent but all the stats point to WMU keeping this game close. The Brconos will buck their way to maybe winning but will at least cover and give me the points. Hammer the got damn over. Hammer it hard. Buck Broncos Buck

If I suck and lose every single one of these that’s just the way it rolls sometimes, take my advice or don’t, I don’t give a shit.
